Understanding Roennfeldt Road Shiraz

I love to experience great wines and the 1999 Roennfeldt Road shiraz from Greenock Creek is one of these great wines.  I recently tasted the 1999 vintage and once again I'm stumped.  It just so hard to describe this wine; it has its own trademark stamp that is outer worldly.

I'm a bit sad that I opened one of my two bottle because the wine as in its infancy.  The 1999 Roennfeldt Road shiraz has easily another 10 years of ageing ahead to start to mature.  This is one special wine; I hope that next time I crack open a bottle it will be as amazing as the nose would suggest.
